Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital

Redefining cancer care for patients in need

Al Jalila Foundation is establishing the first comprehensive cancer hospital in Dubai ‘Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital’ bringing together leading expertise to manage prevention, diagnosis and treatment under one roof.

Diagnosing care as early as possible provides the best chance for the patient and therefore the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital will house a state-of-the-art diagnostics and screening center. This focus on diagnostics and screening will facilitate the process of diagnosing the disease as early as possible. This center will follow the best practices of the world’s leading Academic Medical Centres whilst simultaneously looking to develop and grow with the ever-changing research and technology.

The hospital, named after the late Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will provide best-in-class outpatient, ambulatory and diagnostic services as well as inpatient and surgical services in a nurturing environment that prides itself on personalised patient care.

In the UAE, approximately 4,500 new cases of cancer are reported in a year and as per studies it is the third leading cause of deaths. Patients will be accepted from anywhere in the United Arab Emirates and the medical services provided would either be free of charge or highly subsidised to alleviate the financial burden of patients who are unable to afford quality healthcare.

Al Jalila Foundation is investing AED 1.2 billion to build the first comprehensive cancer hospital in the UAE. This super-specialty oncology facility will serve as a centre of excellence for cancer treatment and research for the region.

It is with donor support that Al Jalila Foundation can reach its goal of establishing a comprehensive cancer care facility that will provide outstanding care and become a beacon of hope to patients and their families.
