Al Jalila Foundation is establishing one of the largest biobanks and the first of its kind in the UAE. The biobank – supported by robotic technologies – will collect and store up to seven million high-quality human biological samples in accordance with international standards. The biobank will enable impactful research to accelerate medical discoveries and advance healthcare.
The UAE’s first robotic biobank will attract strategic collaboration opportunities with key healthcare authorities and partners across the region and globally to advance biomedical research, contribute to precision medicine and the delivery of personalised care. The biobank will be housed on the 8th floor of Al Jalila Foundation in the Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Research Institute and is scheduled to open in 2024.
The biobank will lead to improved health care and support the vision of Dubai Health to advance health for humanity.
